Several key tenets are important for every member of Treasure Valley Voices to understand:

• We are like a smaller congregation modeling worship for a larger congregation.
• We are intentional in including a variety of genres, because the Family of God includes people with a variety of tastes and needs.
• We bring a spirit of excellence to all that we do.

For Treasure Valley Voices, excellence does not mean perfection, but it does mean giving our best effort.

• Excellence is an attitude.
• Excellence is a commitment.
• Excellence is getting better every time.
• Excellence is a priority.

This means rehearsals are important for everyone, even if you know the music cold. In fact, you have an even greater reason to be at rehearsal, and that is to help those around you learn their part.

Part of the encouragement to keep getting better is the concept of replication. If no individual person "owns" a particular solo, that solo can rotate among a larger group of people, each of whom has the opportunity to grow musically when it is his or her turn. Likewise, we hope to expand to the point where more than one musician plays a particular instrument. A rotation of players means less chance of scheduling problems, and we can add new members with little fuss.

In Treasure Valley Voices, we believe that every member is valuable: the newest tenor, the longest-playing guitarist, the sound technician, and those who aren't in our group but pray for us.
